BMW G38 Headlight Connector Installation Checklist
Preventing pin recession is critical during the installation of BMW 5-Series (G38) headlight assemblies.
1. Pre-Installation Cleaning & Inspection
- Clean Surfaces: Use compressed air.
- Dry Moisture: Moisture leads to corrosion.
- Check Housing: Inspect for cracks or broken guide pillars.
2. Standard Connection Procedure
- Align Properly: Push in horizontally and straight.
- Secure the Lock: Audible Click means success.
- NEVER pull or tug on the wire harness itself.
